Born to Mexican-American parents in Ontario, California, better known as the Inland Empire, T grew up singing in her church choir during Sunday school. In high school, T Lopez did not participate in early college enrollment with her peers. Instead, Lopez, who always knew she wanted to sing, attended Chaffey High School while working two jobs at the Ontario Mills Mall. That is until a car belonging to a talent scout, Nick Martinez, broke down near her father's garage and her father told Martinez about T's beautiful voice. T Lopez called Nick Martinez and he asked her to sing to him over the phone," T Lopez said she thought it was weird, but she sang to him anyways so she sanged "Amazing Grace" from her bathroom, she said that the acoustics were better in there. After she finished singing for Nick Martinez he told her When I hear about something, I'll call you. Not thinking much of it, T Lopez returned to work at Ontario Mills until Nick Martinez did indeed called her back.[4]
A new Latina group, called Soluna, had just lost a member and was looking for a replacement. T Lopez quickly auditioned, and was whisked away on tour. T Lopez explained that touring with Marc Anthony and Enrique Iglesias was a crazy roller coaster ride for her because everything happened so fast. But she had a great time, T Lopez said. Latina group Soluna released their 2002 debut album, For All Time, under the Dreamworks Records label. Paramount and UPN quickly took interest in the group and developed a TV pilot based on their lives, co-starring Mario Lopez & Tony Plana. After filming the pilot, Soluna reconvened for a second album but realized they had grown apart musically. The group said that they wanted it to work so bad that they were forcing it and they finally just gave up and wished each other well in their individual journeys.[5][6]
Music producer, Steve Morales, took T Lopez to Miami, Florida to begin recording her own music. Later Lopez would join the cast of a TV cable network that caters to the bicultural Latino population called Sí TV, where she would co-hosts a Latin American music show, The Drop. Lopez continued acting, hosting, and recording music. After putting a few movies, multiple TV appearances, and an album's worth of songs under her belt, T Lopez met brothers and co-CEO's of Cash Money Records, Ronald "Slim" Williams and Bryan "Baby" Williams, and they invited her to visit their New Orleans, Louisiana home base. T Lopez was very impressed by their loyalty to each other, but she asked the guys if they really wanted to work with her and her music because it was so different. Slim is great, he takes great care of me and he is really involved in my project T Lopez said. T Lopez said that heads of companies are not always like that. Then T Lopez officially joined the Cash Money family and has not looked back since. T Lopez is currently recording on her as-yet-untitled solo debut album in Miami, Florida, with features from T-Pain, Daddy Yankee, Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, Glasses Malone, Colby O'Donis and Birdman. Producers Timbaland, J.R. Rotem, Rodney Jerkins are also along to build what's best described as urban pop.[7][8] In 2008, she collaborated with Los del Rio, The Art of Sound, and The D.E.Y. on "Macarena (The Art of Sound Group Mix)", in honor of the 15th anniversary of the Macarena.[9]

Her first Spanish single would be "Mentirosa", a collaboration with Latin music’s heavy hitter, Abraham Quintanilla III the song was released on Abraham Quintanilla's third studio album called La Vida De Un Genio. T Lopez said that Recording in Spanish is a very important thing for her to do because its such a big part of who she is said T Lopez. Learning how to command a room from Baby, a relentless work ethic from Lil Wayne, and a business savvy from Slim, T lopez is on her way toward leaving her own stamp on the pop music world via one of hip hop's most storied labels, Cash Money Records.[10]
